Located to the west of the heart of London, Knightsbridge is one of the most elite districts you can find in London. Surrounded by places like Mayfair, Hyde Park, Chelsea and South Kensington, this exclusive district encloses some of the most luxurious places in the whole of London. The area is as posh as it can get and has earned the reputation of being an aristocratic residential area.

Knightsbridge inhabits fourteen out of the top 200 priciest streets in Britain and this is what lends it the unique status which it enjoys. In February 0f 2007, a Qatari Prince bought 1 Hyde Park for 100,000,000 pounds, rendering it as the most expensive apartment ever of that phase! For convenience and strategic purposes, the area is deemed as one of the two international centres as stated by the London Plan.

Some of the classiest shops which are super exclusive are in this up market district of Knightsbridge. Harrods – the largest departmental store in Europe, Sloane Rangers and Harvey Nichols are some of the most impressive and expensive shops famous all over the world. Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik, the topmost shoe designers which are famous worldwide, are based in this district. In fact, the bankers at Coutts, which are known to serve the Queen, do not accept clients possessing a net worth of less than five million pounds! This said, it is but natural that the best of London is found in Knightsbridge, be it bars, restaurants, pubs, salons or hotels.

If and when you do get tired of shopping at these places buzzing with the who’s who of London, you can amuse yourself in other ways as well. The Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum can be a source of entertainment for you and your family. Well connected with tube stations, Knightsbridge London is a place worth every penny spent on it though considering its status; you’re more likely to end up spending lots of pounds!
